A fire that broke out at around half past three in the morning in a storage area on Taxiarchon Street in Korydallos was brought under control and caused a great mobilization of the police and the fire brigade who poured more than 30 tons of water to be able to put it out.

“Fifteen firefighters with four vehicles responded to the scene. At the moment, as you can see, the extinguishing process has ended and we are now in the preliminary stage to find out what exactly caused this particular fire to break out,” said the ERTNews reporter who was at the point which is very close to the central square of Korydallos.
The mobilization of the Authorities was great as there are houses and shops nearby. The employees of the municipality also contributed to the effort with water tankers.
