After enlisting Joachim Van Damme and Mathieu Cafaro, Standard de Liège formalized the arrival of a third winter recruit with the arrival of the Kortrijk Gilles Dewaele.
Aged 25, the native of Knokke will reinforce the Rouche rearguard at the right-back position. Passed by the Cercle de Bruges then Westerlo, he joined KV Kortrijk in 2020. After 52 matches (3 goals, 3 assists) including 18 this season, Dewaele arrives at Standard.
According to the French press, another player should soon sign at Standard. Renaud Emond is indeed departing from Nantes and is a candidate for a return to Sclessin, two years following his departure.
