Some passengers witnessed sparks from engines, and fire engines were dispatched as the aircraft landed at the airport. Passengers seated in the right wing seat of the aircraft were known to feel vibration and noise as well as heat.

The aircraft was carrying 215 passengers and 10 crew members.

Korean Air dispatched Istanbul branch staff to Baku Airport and provided in-flight blankets to passengers waiting at the airport.

Korean Air is currently in the process of issuing an entry visa through a local operator, and passengers will be transferred to a local hotel.

Korean Air plans to use the A330-200 temporary flight of the same type to transport passengers. A temporary flight departs from Incheon International Airport at 12:05 PM on the same day, and is scheduled to arrive at Incheon Airport at 7:05 AM on the 11th.

Korean Air is negotiating with the Incheon Airport Quarantine Center to extend the validity period of PCR (gene amplification) test and rapid antigen test upon entry. When arriving at Incheon Airport a day later, most passengers exceed the PCR test deadline of 48 hours.
