“Korea women’s golf at the top of the Asia Pacific region”… Yoo So-yeon and Lee Bo-mi win the Simone Cup team event

Yoo So-yeon (32) and Lee Bo-mi (34) won the team event at the Simone Asia Pacific Cup Golf Tournament (total prize money of $750,000), which was established to promote the women’s national golf tournament in the Asia-Pacific region.



The ‘Korea Team 2’, which Soyeon Ryu and Bomi Lee joined as a group, recorded 11 under par until the third round of the tournament held at Pondok Inda Golf Course (par 72, 6806 yards) in Jakarta, Indonesia on the 20th.

In this competition, where 44 players from 16 countries in the Asia-Pacific region participated and ranked through stroke play for three days in individual and two-person team competitions, Soyeon Ryu and Bomi Lee were named the first team event champions.

So-yeon Yoo reduced her five strokes to 7 birdies and 2 bogeys on the day, recording a final total of 9-under 207, while Bo-mi Lee lost three shots and finished the contest with 2-under-par 214.

Princess Mary Superal of the Philippines and Pauline del Rosario jointly finished runners-up in the final 7-under par.



Superal took first place in the individual event with a final total of 12 under par 204. Yoo So-yeon took the lead and 3 strokes alone to 2nd place.

In addition, Lydia Ko (New Zealand) was third with an 8-under 208, and Bomi Lee was in sixth place.

This tournament is not a regular tournament of existing tours such as the US Women’s Professional Golf (LPGA) Tour or the Korean Women’s Professional Golf (KLPGA) Tour. .
