[팍스넷뉴스 김진배 기자] Kolon Global Vice President Lee Kyu-ho, the fourth-generation owner of Kolon Group, and Jung Yu-jin signed a 100-year relationship. On this day, a large number of business leaders gathered at Lee’s wedding.
On the 6th, Vice President Lee married Jung Yu-jin at the Grand InterContinental Seoul Parnas in Gangnam-gu, Seoul. The bride, Jeong, is the second daughter of famous designer Woo Young-mi.
After graduating from the University of St Andrews in Scotland, Jung is said to be helping her mother, Woo’s company. Woo launched a men’s wear brand ‘Solid Homme’ in 1988. He entered Paris in 2002 and became the first Korean to become a full member of the French Costume Association in 2011.
The wedding ceremony was attended by a large number of business leaders. Samsung Electronics Chairman Lee Jae-yong, SK Group Chairman Choi Tae-won, LG Group Chairman Koo Kwang-mo, Asan Foundation Chairman Chung Mong-joon, Lotte Group Chairman Shin Dong-bin, and Shinsegae Group Vice Chairman Jeong Yong-jin gathered together. Following the wedding of the eldest daughter of Hyundai Motor Chairman Chung Eui-sun last month, the heads of companies gathered once more in 10 days.
Vice President Lee Woong-yeol, the eldest son of Kolon Honorary Chairman Lee Woong-yeol, is in charge of Kolon Global’s automobile division and is building up business performance. Recently, Kolon Group is preparing for succession by leading the ‘hydrogen’ business that has been pointed out as a future food. Vice President Lee is registered as a representative of Kolon Group at the ‘H2 Business summit’, a private company hydrogen business consultative body launched last year.
Honorary Chairman Lee resigned from management in 2018. Since then, Kolon Group has been operating in an empty state.
