I don’t know who employed them. I know there are and I know that a lot of people need to change – Michał Kołodziejczak replied on Radio Zet.
After a while, however, he clarified that he had not fired anyone yet and “everyone has the opportunity to work.” – I am responsible for a very important department of agricultural markets, which has not even conducted analyzes of what enters Poland and in what quantity. Today, at my request, we receive a report every day and at the end of each week (another – editor’s note) a report (concerning – editor’s note) regarding what and how much of what goods have arrived in Poland – explained the deputy minister.
They didn’t do that. Michał Kołodziejczak, who came (to the ministry – editor’s note) immediately told the man who works as the deputy director of the agricultural markets department and is responsible for analyses, to prepare such analyses. Yesterday, he received additional clear instructions because he also failed to carry out his actions. I have no intention of hiding it and showing that I will defend anyone today, emphasized Kołodziejczak.
“Employment pathology”
Then the deputy head of the Ministry of Agriculture announced that: it employs 854 people. The current government’s staffing situation at the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development is similar to that of its predecessors. Kołodziejczak also pointed out that 29 people work in the promotion and communication department. “You can make a radio there,” he ironized.
– The HR policy was not to dismiss people, but to transfer them to lower positions. A new minister came, gave his man, transferred the rest and the salaries remained. This is an employment pathology and that’s what we’re dealing with, the politician complained.
Those who will be released will be released. But how much? I don’t know. I am not responsible for all departments, to be clear. The department of agricultural markets employs several dozen people, regarding 70. I don’t know how many we will lay off. It is very possible that (part of it – editor’s note) needs to be replaced. I’ve been here for over a month and I haven’t fired anyone yet, nor have I applied for anyone’s dismissal. I check who works how – emphasized Michał Kołodziejczak.
We contacted the press office of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development with questions regarding, among others: whether a reduction in employment in the ministry is planned. We are waiting for an answer.
