Kolkata | The investigation team has released the CCTV footage of Sanjay Roy, considered the prime suspect in the rape and murder of a junior doctor at Kolkata’s RG Kar Medical College. Scenes have emerged of a junior doctor walking down a hospital lecture hall on the night the victim was brutally gang-raped. This is the scene at one o’clock in the morning on August 9th.
According to CCTV footage, he entered the seminar hall at 1:03 am. In the middle of the night, the junior doctor was brutally tortured and killed in the seminar room. The investigative team previously said a Bluetooth headset was found near the body. When Sanjay Roy entered the seminar hall, the Bluetooth headset around his neck was clearly visible. During the interrogation, police produced CCTV evidence against Sanjay. He later confessed to the crime, sources said.
Police also said Sanjay Roy had visited two brothels in Kolkata before arriving at the hospital on the night the junior doctor was raped and murdered. Sources revealed that he went to Sonagachi red light district to drink on the evening of August 8 and visited two brothels.

A special court in Kolkata yesterday approved a lie test against Sanjay Roy. The court also allowed former medical college principal Sandeep Ghosh and four other doctors who were on duty at the hospital on the night of August 8-9 to undergo a lie test.
