Kolda: the candidate of AAR Senegal advocates the election of a “parliament of rupture”

Kolda, July 12 (APS) – The head of the departmental list of the AAR Senegal (opposition) coalition in Kolda, Maimouna Diallo, promises, once elected at the end of the legislative elections on July 31, a change in the role and the work of the Member of the National Assembly.

”We want a parliament of rupture, to be deputies for the people and by the people who must defend the interests and concerns of the people and devote our energy to the well-being of the people”, she declared.

Professor of literature, history and geography, Maimouna Diallo spoke on the sidelines of a close visit, made this Tuesday, in neighborhoods of the town of Kolda.

According to her, “the elected officials who were in place from 2012 to the present day have never defended the koldois in the National Assembly.”

”We have problems in the especially social sectors” such as ”education with temporary shelters, sick health like the case of the regional hospital which is made in permanent perfusion” and ”the deputies who were there were, unknown to the populations (…) ignored the needs and realities of the latter”.

On the strength of this observation, she is of the opinion that the populations need a ”parliament of rupture”, with ”deputies for the people and by the people who must defend the interests and concerns of the populations and dedicate their energy for the well-being of populations.”

Maimouna Diallo indicated that the Aar Senegal coalition which “intends to make corrections” thus offers Senegalese a program articulated around 14 points affecting “all sectors of social and economic life.”

She “invited the koldois and koldoises to go in the direction of the total rupture in the way of choosing representatives of the populations by making a useful choice on July 31 next.
