The Society for Social Motion and Tradition Koino_Topia www.koinotopia.gr within the context of the promotion of Tradition organized on Tuesday, June 18, an occasion devoted to fellow human beings by means of dance, music and poetry.
The occasion entitled On the Rhythm of Love was held with the assist of the French Institute of Greece in Patras in its occasion corridor on the event of World Music Day (June 21).
The Choir of Koino_Topias, the conductor Lina Geronikou, the pianist Katerina Filippatou, the “Peri chorou Emmalia” faculty, the philologist and author Mary Sidiras, and the director of the Georgia Petropoulos Institute contributed artistically to the occasion.

From the “Peri chorou Emmelia” faculty with Andreas Pavlopoulos, Maritini Dimitropoulou, Stavros Koutoulogenis, Ioanna Fogl, Michalis Rapti, Elisavet Drivila, Panos Tsekouras, Zacharoula Gardikis, Nikos Karavoulias, Nikolitsa Mouschi, Poly Karathanasis, we loved Poema (Tango), Mi vieja Linda (Milonga), Cumparsita (Tango) and along with the choir Que sera sera, For a tango and The followingnoons off.
Lastly, the high-pitched Lina Geronikou, accompanied by a piano, masterfully rendered Historia de un amor and Let’s come for some time.
The philologist and author Mary Sidiras, in between the choral and choral-dance items, selected and recited poems which have some kinship, which means or style with the above songs. We heard an excerpt from the Music of Songs, transcribed by G. Seferis, Vassilis Tsitsanis, Yiannis Ritsos, Odysseas Elytis, Nikos Kavadias and Costas Karyotakis. She commented sporadically on the central theme of affection, prefacing the songs chosen by the choir. Lastly, the director of the French Institute of Greece in Patra, Georgia Petropoulos, participated by reciting Dionysios Solomos and Maria Polydouri.
The occasion additionally had a social significance for the reason that members symbolically supported the Affiliation for Psychological Well being (SOPSY). Everybody concerned in creating this lovely night, to whom we thank, volunteered.
