Thiruvananthapuram: CPM’s former state secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan’s health condition remains unchanged, reports say. 68-year-old Kodiyeri is undergoing treatment at Apollo Hospital in Chennai. Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan will reach Chennai today and visit Kodiyeri. The Chief Minister will arrive at the Chennai airport in the morning and will directly reach the Apollo Hospital. The Chief Minister will remain in Chennai throughout the day today.

Kodiyeri Balakrishnan is undergoing treatment at Chennai’s Apollo Hospital for the past two weeks. On August 29, he was taken to Thiruvananthapuram airport in a special ambulance and then taken to Chennai by air ambulance. Asianet News reports that Kodiyeri is suffering from chemotherapy-induced fatigue and weakness. Treatment is under the guidance of expert doctors. The doctors of Apollo are also consulting with the team of doctors who have treated the patient in America.
