More than 2 billion people use WhatsApp worldwide. But most of the users think that it is not possible to use the messaging app owned by Meta without internet.
But did you know that WhatsApp can be used even when internet services are unavailable or not working properly?
Yes indeed this feature was introduced by WhatsApp in 2023.
The purpose of this feature called proxy support is to provide access to WhatsApp wherever the app is blocked or the internet service is affected for some reason.
This feature allows WhatsApp to connect to servers that are set up by various organizations and individuals so that people can use the service.
The good thing is that even using proxy support, WhatsApp messages are end-to-end encrypted, meaning they cannot be accessed by anyone else.
How to use this feature?
For this purpose open WhatsApp and go to settings.
There go to storage option and click on data and choose use proxy.
Go there and enter the proxy address and click on Save to Connect.
After doing this, a check mark will appear to confirm that the connection is working, after which you will be able to send or receive messages even without an internet connection.
If despite this option WhatsApp messages cannot be sent, it means that the proxy is blocked, in which case another proxy address must be used.
