I still remember exactly when I discovered the light blue knitted dress in a shop during a seminar trip. It was love at first sight – seen and bought. Do you know such situations?
Knitted dresses are one of the most versatile pieces of clothing, on a par with a trouser suit. The selection of shapes, materials and lengths is incredible. This gives us the opportunity to wear a knitted dress in different ways over and over once more. We can let our styling creativity run wild. If you don’t have any experience with knitted dresses, start with a dress in black or dark blue.

How do I combine a knitted dress?
Slipping on and looking good is one option. But rather boring. Anyone who has been reading my blog for a while knows my styling tip:

Leather jacket – styling tip number 2
Almost every lady has one in her wardrobe – a leather jacket. The leather jacket and a knitted dress complement each other. The break in style attracts particular attention through the different materials. I chose a black knitted dress with a black leather jacket. Of course, you can wear a red or brown leather jacket with a black knitted dress.

Blazer and knitted dress – my personal favorite combination. A combination that I really enjoy wearing in the office and the ideal business look for the season. Whether you choose a monochrome look, i.e. a dress and blazer in one color, or a color difference – the blazer and knitted dress are a magical duo. To emphasize the figure, I often combine a belt with this styling idea.
Denim jacket – styling tip no. 4
It is and remains popular – the denim jacket. A denim jacket with a knitted dress is an option for all denim lovers to highlight a break in style.
Knitwear – Styling Tip No. 5
Cardigan or oversize sweater, both go well with the knitted dress as a combination partner. Different materials and knitting patterns are an eye-catcher. A sweater with a coarse pattern can attract special attention to the upper body. With this combination, the chest area should not be too large, otherwise the upper body will appear too voluptuous.
Whether it’s a coarse or light knit coat, they both go well with a knit dress. At the same time, they ensure a longer visual body proportion.
Fur vest – styling tip no. 6
I recently came across the short fur vest once more in my closet. It actually belongs to a winter coat. But in no time at all I restyled them and combined them with a knitted dress. A woman simply has to have ideas. A cozy alternative to a dress in the cool season.
Which shoes go with the knitted dress?
Anyone who works in the office wears pumps with a slight heel indoors. Boots with shafts are another option in the cold season. The overknee boots look feminine, a boot with a flat heel is more comfortable when walking. Ankle boots with heels are a good solution if you want to decide between pumps and boots. Of course, chunky boots are currently a trend with knitted dresses. Your preference and the occasion are crucial for the right shoe.
Which jacket goes with the knitted dress?
It’s not that easy with jackets and knitted dresses. If it’s already cold outside and we want to wear something warm, then a quilted coat is a good choice. It doesn’t matter if the dress peeks out from under the quilted coat.
The wool coat is as much a part of winter as snow. A high-quality wool coat with a knitted dress is the classic style that never goes out of style.
A cozy cape is an alternative for every lady who is in a hurry. Quickly jump in the car, pick up the kids, go shopping or from home to the office. I like to throw on a poncho or cape if I know I’ll be moving more indoors than outdoors.
Which stockings are suitable for a knitted dress?
When temperatures drop, warming tights are in order. Whether leggings or tights, it depends on the length of the dress.
- Leggings can be combined with a long knitted dress and high boots if you want to stay cozy and warm.
- If the knitted dress has a more striking color, plain-colored tights are a good choice.
- If you are braver, wear tights with a maximum of DEN30 with a pattern. This is more eye-catching and gives a knitted dress a certain extravagance.
- Tights with a slight glitter effect look sophisticated with a black knitted dress for an evening look.
- Knitted tights go well with style breaks and chunky boots.
- Opaque tights are my personal favorites for knitted dresses.
