Wednesday, mid-morning, an employee of the Carrefour City store located in downtown Le Mans (Sarthe) was seriously injured in the armpit following responding to a robber armed with a knife, reveals CNews.
According to our colleagues, the individual – whose age is estimated between 16 and 18 years old – took several items from the shelves before going to the checkout. It was then that the young man “grabbed the cashier by the hair and asked her to give him the money from the till, while threatening her with a knife”.
The employee gave him the contents of the box which counted 30 euros. One of his colleagues intervened outside the store. The suspect stabbed him in the armpit.
The condition of the victim is said to be stable, indicates CNews. The attacker is still at large.
