“The investigating judge interviewed the suspect of the knife attack in the Schuman metro station and placed him under an arrest warrant for the head of attempted murder and carrying a weapon by destination”, a said the Brussels public prosecutor’s office. “It will appoint an expert to carry out a psychiatric expertise of the suspect”.
According to the Brussels public prosecutor’s office, the three victims are a 25-year-old man – who was seriously injured and is still hospitalized, but his life is no longer in danger – as well as a 40-year-old man and a 47-year-old woman, both of whom were slightly injured and who have already been able to leave the hospital.

“The judicial investigation is following its course,” said the prosecution.
Monday around 5:45 p.m., an individual armed with a knife injured three people in a metro train arriving at Schuman station in Brussels. He was neutralized shortly following, in the station, by several police officers. The suspect is a 30 year old male. The motive for his attack is not yet known, but, currently, nothing indicates that he was animated by a terrorist intention, according to the prosecution.
After being subdued and handcuffed by the police, the individual was interviewed overnight from Monday to Tuesday. It was then made available to the investigating judge appointed by the Brussels public prosecutor’s office. This one decided, Tuesday, to place it under arrest warrant of the chief of attempted assassination.
