A priest was stabbed this Sunday April 24 inside the Saint-Pierre-d’Arène church in Nice. The suspect was arrested. The terrorist track is not privileged
According to a source familiar with the matter at CNEWS, the priest was attacked during the Office, and would have received three or four blows. The Minister of the Interior, Gérald Darmanin, however assured that his vital prognosis was not engaged.

The attacker is a 31-year-old Frenchman living in Nice. The man was previously unknown to the police and intelligence services. He would suffer from bipolarity.
On Twitter, the mayor of the city Christian Estrosi, who went there, spoke of the gesture of an “unbalanced”.

The deputy and departmental councilor Eric Ciotti, who also went to the scene, shared in a tweet his “tremendous sadness”.
