A Klüber Lubrication, a Freudenberg Group company that develops and produces lubricants, greases and oils for various industries, has just announced a significant milestone in its history. The production plant in Barueri (SP) reached the mark of 10 consecutive years without work accidents with distance.
To achieve this result, Klüber Lubrication Brasil has continually invested in prevention and awareness measures, which aim to minimize or eliminate risks to employee health. These measures include the adequacy of electrical and mechanical installations, the carrying out of frequent campaigns that reinforce the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and collective protective equipment (EPC), the implementation of safety programs, such as Wemba Walk and Anjos da Guarda, and carrying out training and lectures that raise the level of safety culture in the company at all levels, from operational staff to senior management. Technology also plays a crucial role in this effort, with Safety 4.0 raising the level of risk assessment and introducing automation into production processes.
Rodrigo Portes, Occupational Safety, Health and Environment Specialist at Klüber Lubrication Brasil, highlights the importance of safety in the company’s strategy. “We are developing new projects, such as the PGT (Third Party Management Program) and carrying out HAZOps (Risk and Operability Study). Both aim not only at a safety culture, but also at continuous process improvement. Our goal is to always maintain ZERO accidents, ensuring that each employee returns home healthy for their family – this is our main objective”, says Portes.
