In the opening match of this season of the Korea Women’s Professional Golf (KLPGA) tour, veteran player Kim Hae-rim (33 years old) took the lead for two days in a row and aimed her 8th win in her career.
In the second round of the Lotte Rent-a-Car Women’s Open held at the Lotte Skyhill Jeju Country Club (Sky-Ocean Course) in Seogwipo-si, Jeju Island on the 8th, Kim Hae-rim reduced 4 shots to 7 birdies and 3 bogeys, and sprinted to the top with a total of 9 under par.
Kim Hae-rim, who beat the 2nd place group by 4 strokes, is looking forward to her 8th win in regarding 9 months since the McCall-Mona Park opening in July last year.
Starting from the 10th hole, Kim Hae-rim caught two birdies in the first half, but lost one shot and stalled following committing three bogeys.
However, in the second half, it changed dramatically, and following catching birdies in a row from the 2nd to the 4th holes, he also recorded birdies on the 7th and 8th holes.
Jin-hee Lim, who was sluggish at 39th at 2-over par the previous day, reduced a whopping 7 strokes and jumped to tied for 2nd at once, and Ji-won Hong also hit 6-under and joined the 2nd group with a total of 5 under.
Seven members including Jang Ha-na, Park Ji-young, Jang Su-yeon, and Ha Min-song formed a joint 4th group with a total of 4 under par.
