It was in extra time that the first match of the Swiss League play-off final ended between Kloten and Olten (2-1 ap).

The Zurichers, winners of the regular championship, grabbed this final confrontation of the season in the best possible way by opening the scoring through Andri Spiller (10th). But Olten, dolphin of the Aviators before the play-offs, has resources as he demonstrated in the semi-final against La Chaux-de-Fonds. And Garry Nunn, in the 15th minute, took advantage of Solothurn’s numerical superiority to bring his team level.

In the final two thirds, Tim Wolf for Kloten and Simon Rytz for Olten stopped 16 and 25 shots respectively. This resulted in both teams going into extra time.

In the 79th minute, Kloten found the fault, but a foul on Rytz forced the referees to cancel this success after analyzing it on the video. The people of Zurich did not have to wait too long to make the 6,527 fans at the Stimo Arena jubilant once again.

After 48 seconds in the second overtime, Dario Meyer deceived Rytz, not beyond reproach on this one, and thus gave his colors a first point. The second act of this final will take place on Wednesday at 7:45 p.m. in Olten.
