Sadio Mane has revealed that Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson convinced Jurgen Klopp to change the club’s training schedule this month in order to accommodate players celebrating Ramadan.
The holy month of Ramadan begins from Saturday 2 April until Monday 2 May, during which time Liverpool will participate in many important confrontations in its current season.
The Senegalese wing spoke to “beIN SPORTS” channels to express the difficulty of training in the month of Ramadan, and how to pay attention to the dates of nutrition and the type of food.

Mane said: “It is not easy because playing and training in the month of Ramadan is not easy at all.”
“But before Ramadan we tried to speak with captain Henderson to tell Klopp that maybe we can change the schedule and train in the morning.”
“It’s easier for us. If you train in the morning, you have time to rest and go home, but if you train at two or three it will be difficult.”
“Jurgen Klopp agreed and I think that makes it easier and we try to do our best,” he explained.

When asked how Liverpool stars deal with fasting on match days, Mane added: “It’s not easy, but as always, match day is something else.”
And he added: “With Ramadan, it is difficult, but I think that Liverpool is trying to make everything easier for us.”
He added, “We speak with our nutritionist, Mona, especially before the day of the match, and she made everything easier for us to make sure we might spend Ramadan.”
It is worth noting that the Liverpool team has an important confrontation tonight in the first leg of the sixteenth round once morest Villarreal of Spain at Anfield.
