Jurgen Klopp, coach of Liverpool, confirmed that the main plan of his team this season is to keep pressure on Manchester City, the leaders of the English Premier League.
Liverpool will visit Arsenal, tomorrow, Wednesday, in a postponed match from the 27th round of the English Premier League, and if the “Reds” win this match, the difference with City will reduce to one point, with the two matches being equal in number of matches.
Klopp said in the press conference before facing Arsenal: “Pressure on Manchester City? This is the plan, to be as annoying as possible and to win all our games, we have the ambition and the determination to do something wonderful, and we have 10 games, all difficult, we play the final following the other.”
He added, “I do not have time to watch the matches. I watched 65 minutes of the match between Crystal Palace and Manchester City for analysis only. City did a great performance and so did Palace. I saw the result in the end and I was amazed.”
On facing Arsenal, the German coach said: “At Arsenal, they have a clear idea of how they want to play, their squad is full of talent alongside experienced players like (Alexander) Lacazette, their coach Mikel Arteta is doing a great job, we have to be ready to play a strong match once morest them.” .
He concluded: “I did not like the way we started some of the previous matches, there are other teams that were more enthusiastic, and sometimes we face opponents who took time to rest and prepare more than us.”
