Klopp accused of not “love” Mane .. and put him behind Salah

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has been accused of not giving Sadio Mane the “love” he deserves and making him behind Egyptian star Mohamed Salah, prompting the Senegalese striker to leave the club and move to Bayern Munich last summer.

After 6 successful years, Mane left Liverpool to join the German giant, Bayern Munich, following entering the last year of his contract with the Red Club.

Liverpool’s contract with the two stars, Salah and Mane, expires in June of next year, and his administration decided to extend the contract with the first and sell the rest of the second contract to Bayern Munich, following he insisted on leaving following the Champions League final loss to Real Madrid.

And Salif Diao, the former Liverpool player (2002-2007) and the Senegalese national team, blamed Klopp, and said in an interview with “Liverpool Echo”: Mane spent several years in Liverpool, but recently I think he did not find the love he deserves, I’m not talking regarding the fans, I think what The effect on him was the lack of feeling loved by coach Jürgen Klopp.

Mane was an important element in Liverpool achieving the English Premier League title following an absence of 30 years, and winning the 2018-2019 Champions League, but the prevailing feeling has always been that he was behind Mohamed Salah in terms of importance, and even when the hour came to extend the contract, the survival of the Egyptian star was chosen at the expense of Senegalese teammate.

He continued: Things did not go as Mane wanted, so he decided to leave and look for another club following years with Liverpool, and today everyone knows that his compensation will be difficult, people were not aware of the hard work that Mane was doing in Liverpool.

And he concluded: Mane was one of the 3 best players in Liverpool, if not the best, he proved to be great and it is difficult for any player to come and fill the slot he left.
