KLIO Mathew introduced himself to the wider public through the release of his debut single entitled Won’t Be Gone. Klio, previously worked with famous musicians such as Arash Buana, Rendy Pandugo and Raissa Anggiani. In this introductory single, he emphasizes his guitar playing to present a melancholic blues feel.
Won’t Be Gone was actually written in 2019, when Klio was listening to a lot of blues musicians. The story itself is about a relationship that wasn’t meant to be.
“I hope this song can represent the feelings of fellow listeners who are facing problems in their relationships. “Those who are hoping, those who are surviving, those who are struggling, with this song implicitly convey to their partners that ‘I’m not going anywhere,'” said Klio in a press release received by Media Indonesia, Thursday (26/9).
For the production of this song, Klio was assisted by electronic jazz trio bassist Littlefingers, Juan Mandagie and Tdjika. In filling out the arrangements, Klio was also assisted by both of them, Juan on keyboards and Tjdika on bass. The single Won’t Be Gone can now be heard on streaming platforms. (M-1)
