Klangwolke made Styria resound

Culture

For the 15th time, the ORF Steiermark Klangwolke sounded on Saturday: This year the great styriarte concert “Te deum” was on the program. You might experience the cloud of sound at numerous events throughout Styria!

The ORF Steiermark Klangwolke is a fixed point in Styrian cultural events: following the successful ORF broadcasts of 14 styriarte performances – including “Porgy and Bess”, “Mozart!!!”, “Beethoven 9”, “Schubert in Stainz”, ” Music by Handel, Fux, Vivaldi” – in recent years, the whole of Styria has been transformed into a large concert hall once more this year.

The country became a concert hall

This year, the styriarte concert evening “Te deum” was brought to the whole country: conductor Jordi Savall gathered musicians from all over Europe in the Stainz parish church and left the famous “Te Deum” and Johann Sebastian Bach’s “Magnificat” in a brilliant light shine − with an outstanding ensemble of soloists, the Arnold Schoenberg Choir and the styriarte Festival Orchestra.

With the ORF Steiermark cloud of sound, the whole country was present at this cultural event: ORF III showed the concert evening on television throughout Austria, while Radio Steiermark broadcast the performance at the same time. In addition, more than 20 public events invited people to enjoy the cultural event in a very special atmosphere – on numerous squares, in castles, churches, gardens, inns, parks: specially created program items by many organizers provided additional wonderful experiences.
