KJ Simpson and Moussa Diabate, destined for the G League

Jeff Peterson has made it clear. The general manager of the Charlotte Hornets took advantage of the introduction of DJ Bakker as the new coach of the Greensboro Swarm, an affiliate team of the G League, to review the franchise’s roster and, in particular, to announce the plan they have drawn up. For KJ Simpson and Moussa Diabate, two players have signed a contract with a tWhere-Way Contract.

“With KJ and Moussa in particular, we expect them to spend some time with Greensboro and they’re excited about it.” Every player we bring into this organization just wants to play, compete and get better. They want to maximize their potential and know that can be the best path at any time. “They’re really excited about the option to come to Greensboro, play and get better,” he says, according to Schuyler of Callihan Sports Illustrated.

The truth is that the situation of both players is somewhat different. Simpson has just arrived in the NBA after graduating from Colorado and being selected as number 42 in the last draft. Diabate, for his part, has been playing for two years in the Los Angeles Clippers league, participating in a total of 33 games and averaging 2.7 points and 2.2 rebounds.
