Kissinger, the dominant and polarizing force in US foreign policy, died at the age of 100

Kissinger died Wednesday at his home in Connecticut, his consulting firm Kissinger Associates said in a statement. After his career in government, H.Kissinger founded this profitable political consulting firm.

The statement said Kissinger’s family would hold a private funeral, followed by a service in New York, where Kissinger grew up.

Kissinger was born Heinz Alfred Kissinger in Germany in 1923 and changed his name to Henry when his family fled Nazi Germany and settled in the United States.

He worked as the US Secretary of State from 1973 to 1977.

Kissinger was synonymous with US foreign policy in the 1970s. He won the Nobel Peace Prize for helping to orchestrate the end of US military involvement in the Vietnam War, and is credited with secret diplomacy that helped President Richard Nixon open communist China to the United States and the West. in 1972 R.
