MEXICO CITY.— During its first morning press conference, the president of MexicoClaudia Sheinbaum Pardo, explained the reason why kissed the hand of Manuel Velasco Coellocoordinator of the Green Ecologist Party of Mexico (PNEM) in the Senate of Mexico.
During the morning question session, a reporter asked the president about the photograph circulating on social networks of the moment in which The president kissed Senator Velasco’s handafter his inauguration, yesterday Tuesday morning.
In response, Claudia Sheinbaum explained that she usually reciprocates with whoever kisses her hand.
He commented that, a long time ago, it was customary to kiss a woman’s hand, in response to this attention, she in reciprocity kisses the hand of the person who has this gesture with her.
In her explanation, Claudia Sheinbaum commented that Claudio X. González had spoken of “reconciliation” and, a little later, had published the photograph in question.
The president said that, “A long time ago it was customary for women to be kissed on the hand; So, I make it a habit that, if they kiss me on the hand, I return the kiss; It is a practice that I have, I did it throughout the campaign, in fact for a long time, and it was that, simply, they kissed my hand, I returned the kiss, something natural and reciprocal, let’s say that I have been doing for a long time.
On social networks, the image of the moment of the kiss circulated since yesterday afternoon. Some media even accompanied the image with texts indicating that the PVEM is one of the parties with which Morena made an alliance to win the presidency of the country.
Other publications defended the president, ensuring that the photograph was false.
Like the case of Julio Berdegué Sacristán, Secretary of Agriculture and Rural Development, who assured that the image was false and accused Claudio X. González of falling short.
Given that comment, Manuel Clouthier Carrillo commented that Berdegué is secretary of state and fell short by denying reality, since the photo was not fake.
