Kishti Tomita, who became known for her expression “Hallelujah moment”, was in the very first edition of “Idol” in 2004. Since then, the program’s jury members have come and gone a little over the years. But since 2017, Tomita has sat on the jury – but not next season.

– They have made a creative decision to redo the jury. But it is their decision, and it must be up to them, she tells Aftonbladet, referring to TV4.

Kishti Tomita does not want to go into her feelings regarding the decision.

– I have a great deal of respect for our collaboration and I hope we will continue to work at another time. I have a lot of stuff I want to do, she says.

Anders Bagges will remain

When Expressen gets hold of Anders Bagge, he confirms that he will remain on the jury until next season and has signed an agreement to that effect.

– Yes, I’m in, he says and adds that he doesn’t know anything regarding TV4’s changes.

Katia Mosally’s words: “Irreplaceable”

Katia Mosally also confirms on Instagram that she will remain in the Idol jury. However, she writes that it will be different without Kishti, who she describes as one of her closest friends.

“You are irreplaceable and will always be part of the Idol family. I promise I will channel your “unreasonable” (and maybe even some “hallelujah moment”) if someone comes in this year who deserves it”she writes on Instagram.

TV4’s answer: “Constantly working to innovate”

Malin Knave, who is executive producer for “Idol”, comments on the decision not to extend with Kishti like this.

“First of all, we want to thank Kishti for eleven fantastic years in the Idol jury. Idol is constantly working to change and innovate, and this year’s season is no exception. Idol has its 20th anniversary this year and we look forward to presenting the season’s news further on.

Knave answers the question regarding what happens to the other jury members.

“We will present this year’s Idol Jury and other things regarding the season further on”.

Expressen is looking for the last jury member, Alexander Kronlund.
