Arrived in Kinshasa at the beginning of the evening this Wednesday, March 22, 2023 for a 24-hour private visit, the former President of the French Republic Nicolas Sarkozy met the President of the Republic Félix Antoine Tshisekedi Tshilombo.
After a warm welcome in front of the presidential palace of Mount Ngaliema, the two personalities shared a friendly dinner.
This friendly moment allowed the Head of State and his guest to share the experience of the management of the Res publica.
Nicolas Sarkozy did not make a statement at the end of this interview which has nothing to do with any diplomatic approach.
This is not the first time that a former French leader has visited Kinshasa.
The day before this meeting, it was the turn of former Prime Minister Jean-Pierre Raffarin to go to Mount Ngaliema for an official meeting of Leaders for Peace.
In September 2022, the former President of France François Hollande made a private visit to the DRC which took her to Kinshasa and Bukavu.
