Governor Daniel Bumba Lubaki chaired the very first Security Council of the city-province of Kinshasa, this Monday, July 22, 2024.
During this meeting, said the Minister of the Interior, Security and Justice of the city of Kinshasa, Papy Musey, it was a question of reviewing the security situation in the Congolese capital to date.
“Today’s meeting was first of all a meeting between His Excellency, Mr. Governor of the city, Daniel Bumba Lubaki, and the Provincial Security Council. It was of course a question of discussing the security of the city. With this increase in the crime rate and urban banditry, it was important that the authority give us its guidelines to be able to resolve this problem very quickly, also the problem of traffic jams, and others that have been presented,” he said.
According to the provincial commissioner of the Congolese National Police, Blaise Kilimbalimba, the urban authority, determined to put an end to the problem of insecurity in the city, has given firm instructions so that the problem of insecurity is definitively resolved and that the people of Kinshasa can regain their peace.
“It was the first Security Council of the city province of Kinshasa, chaired by His Excellency, the Governor of the city, Daniel Bumba Lubaki. The aim was to review the security situation in the province. At the end of the meeting, measures were taken to support His Excellency in his vision of securing the city,” he said.
These measures, Blaise Kilimbalimba stressed, are focused on three (3) major problems, namely: the Kuluna phenomenon, traffic jams, and the phenomenon of serious crime.
