“Kinnikuman” anime new series teaser

To commemorate the 40th anniversary of anime broadcasting, the production of a new series of animation “Kinnikuman” has been decided. At the same time, a new visual of Kinnikuman depicting the muscular back has also been released.
The original “Kinnikuman” was serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump in 1979 by the author Yudetamago. Even now, it has been transferred to Weekly Playboy and Weekly Pre-NEWS, and serialization continues, and the cumulative circulation of the series has exceeded 77 million copies. The animated version of Kinnikuman started broadcasting in 1983, and Kinkeshi, which caused a huge boom, sold 200 million units.
Yudetamago’s Takashi Shimada, who is in charge of the original scenario, commented on this animation, “I can say clearly that something interesting is steadily being completed. Please look forward to it and wait for a while.”
Yudetamago’s Yoshinori Nakai, who is in charge of drawing, said, “I have great expectations, but I also feel a great responsibility. I will continue to draw works that everyone can enjoy.”

The new visual panel will also be exhibited at the “Super Kinnikuman Exhibition”, an exhibition commemorating the 40th anniversary of anime broadcasting, which will be held from March 18th at the Tokyo Tower Foot Town B1F Tower Hall.
