Kingston, who worked in the financial sector, was found dead last Sunday. The rescuers who were called by his relatives confirmed his death. The family had initially not released details of the 45-year-old man’s sudden death, asking that their privacy be respected.

British media reported that Prince Michael and his wife attended the memorial service for former King Constantine on Tuesday morning. Kingston’s death was announced a few hours later, regarding 48 hours following he passed away. For now there is no announcement on when Kingston’s funeral will take place.

His wife, although low in the line of succession to the British throne, was a person that Queen Elizabeth held in high esteem. He had even attended Gabriella’s wedding with her husband Prince Philip “without a second thought”. He and his wife had appeared publicly at an event at the National Gallery in London.
The Daily Mail reports that the absence of Prince William, heir to the British throne, from the memorial service for former King Constantine is not connected to the loss of Kingston. Buckingham Palace has clarified that there is no cause for concern behind William’s absence, but “a personal matter”.
Present at the memorial service were, however, Prince Michael and his wife, despite the fact that their son-in-law had passed away a few hours earlier, without this having yet been made public. Konstantinos was also Gabriela’s godfather.
