“Kings Defeat Oilers in NHL Playoffs Overtime Thriller Without Fiala: LA 4-3 Edmonton”

Los Angeles signed the feat for its entry into the running in the NHL playoffs. Yet still deprived of Kevin Fiala, the Kings won 4-3 following overtime in Edmonton.

The Californian franchise forced the decision following 9’19” in “overtime” on a numerical superiority success from Alex Iafallo, perfectly served in the slot by a back pass from Viktor Arvidsson. The Kings found themselves trailing 2-0 following 12’31”, and 3-1 in the 49th minute of play.

LA snatched the 3-3 17” from the end of regulation time, once more on the power play, thanks to a goal from Slovenian Anze Kopitar (1 goal and 3 assists). The 1st star of the game went to Adrian Kempe, who scored twice in the 41st and 52nd minutes to allow the Kings to return twice to a length of Edmonton.

Note that Oilers superstar Connor McDavid did not score in this game, which the regular season leading scorer finished with a -2 record. A match which was also marked by 99 charges, in less than 70 minutes of play.
