The newest release of Apple Arcade It is Kingdoms: Merge & Build, a game that mixes a puzzle with a medieval-themed story involving an empire that was destroyed and needs to be rebuilt. The game is developed by Cherrypick Gameswho also created My Spa Resort e Golf Solitaire TriPeaks Cards.
What triggers the plot of the game is, as said, the destruction of the kingdom by a magical power, which occurred in the absence of King Archibald. Now, Prince Edward, along with Desmond, Megan and other friends, will have to rebuild and bring back the glory of the Region. And that’s exactly where the player comes in to help, also in order to unravel the mystery behind the devastation.
The mechanics of the puzzle is to unite two identical objects to form a new item or resource. There are hundreds of items to be combined and discovered, in order to use efforts and fulfill tasks to rebuild the kingdom. Quests can also be completed to advance through chapters and unlock new buildings, upgrades, characters, and points of interest.
With this, the idea is to achieve the objective of rebuilding the destroyed empire, “from the old port to the glorious castle”. That way, that purpose can be fulfilled, as you can also make friends, following the story and unraveling the mystery. There are also special global events and objectives with rewards to make the game even more interesting.
