King Salman’s Hospitality: Free Umrah Pilgrimage 2024 – Madinah Welcomes First Group

Madinah: The first group of pilgrims from different countries reached the holy land to perform Umrah as guests of Saudi ruler King Salman bin Abdulaziz. This is part of a plan to allow 1,000 Umrah pilgrims from around the world to visit Saudi Arabia for free under the King’s hospitality in 2024.

The first batch included 250 prominent Islamic scholars and personalities from 14 countries in East Asia. The pilgrim group was received with bouquets of flowers at the Prince Mohammed bin Abdulaziz International Airport in Madinah. Coffee, dates etc. were distributed. The rest will reach Saudi Arabia in two or three phases in the next few days.

The Saudi Ministry of Religious Affairs oversees the plan to perform Umrah as guests of King Salman. The travel and accommodation expenses of the pilgrims will be completely free.

The pilgrims who arrived in Madinah expressed their gratitude to King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman for providing Umrah facilities and for their excellent hospitality. The pilgrims also praised the services rendered by the Saudi king to Islam and Muslims.

250 pilgrims came from Malaysia, Philippines, Indonesia, Taiwan, Myanmar, Vietnam, Laos, Hong Kong, Japan, Brunei, Thailand, South Korea, Cambodia and Mongolia. Arrangements have been made for them to visit Masjid Dunna Bawi, Quba Masjid and historical centers of Madinah. After completing Ziyarat in Madinah, they will return to Makkah to perform Umrah.

The Women’s Forum organized a winter bash
Dammam: World Malayali Council organized an event called Alcobar Province Women’s Forum Winter Bash. President Shamla Najib presided over the event organized at Dammam Holidays Restaurant Auditorium. Sophia Taju, Joint Secretary, Global Women’s Forum inaugurated the event.

Alcobar Province Women’s Forum Secretary Anu Dileep welcomed the ceremony and other Global and Middle East representatives extended their greetings to the Provincial President Shemeem Kattakada, Secretary Asif Tanur, Treasurer Ajeem Jalaluddin, Vice Chairperson Husna Asif and others.
