In 1975, a year following retiring from Brazilian football, King Pelé decided to come out of retirement to join the United States and the NASL, the ancestor of MLS. Welcomed as a rock star in the North American League, the Brazilian played 64 games with the New York Cosmos, scoring 37 goals, and winning the Soccer Bowl in his second season. Two months later, the Brazilian legend plays the last game of his career with his franchise once morest Santos, his lifelong club, at Giants Stadium.
