King Mohammed VI orders the immediate launch of the “Great Cold” action

On royal instructions, the Mohammed V Foundation for Solidarity is deploying, from this Wednesday, January 25, the aid program for the populations affected by the cold wave. The first phase will target the provinces of Midelt, Khénifra, Azilal and Al Haouz.

King Mohammed VI has given his instructions for the immediate launch of the solidarity action “Great Cold” in favor of rural populations exposed to the significant drop in temperatures in the provinces of the Grand and Middle Atlas, indicates a statement from the Foundation relayed by MAP.

For this first phase of intervention, the operation will target households in four provinces of Midelt, Khenifra, Azilal and Al Haouzunderlines the press release.

An important human and logistical system will be deployed, in coordination with the Ministry of the Interior and the local authorities so that the humanitarian aid is sent to the many families from the douars and remote areas, adds the same source.

Each household will benefit from a support kit consisting of food products (flour, rice, sugar, tea, salt, oil and powdered milk) and blankets.

The program for this humanitarian aid will be set up in from this Wednesday, January 25, according to the press release.
