This was reported by the British news agency PA, citing Buckingham Palace. The 75-year-old underwent the planned procedure on Friday because of an enlarged prostate. According to information from the German Press Agency (dpa), he survived the operation well.
Queen Camilla (76), who was seen several times on Friday at the private London Clinic in the British capital, also said, according to British media, that Charles was doing well. It was unclear whether he would stay in the clinic another night.
Easily treatable disease
Benign prostate enlargement is a common and easily treatable disease. Charles went to the same private clinic as Princess Kate (42), who had abdominal surgery last week.
Charles reportedly paid a visit to his daughter-in-law, who continues to recover there, before undergoing surgery. It was initially not known what she was suffering from. It’s not supposed to be cancer. But the length of her hospital stay, now almost two weeks, raises concerns that it may not have been an easy procedure.
