King Charles receives Sultan Al Jaber

Buckingham Palace said that King Charles III received Dr. Sultan bin Ahmed Al Jaber, Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology, President-designate of the “COP 28” conference, and the UAE’s special envoy for climate change, on Thursday.
The climate file and the protection of nature has been a constant priority for King Charles for decades, and he is known to be the most committed member of the royal family to the environment, and has always adopted positions aimed at preserving the balance of the planet, and emphasizing the danger of climate change to the lives of millions of people.
Prior to meeting the king, Al-Jaber confirmed in his first dialogue that his main priority would be to maintain the goal of limiting global warming to 1.5 degrees Celsius while the world was lagging behind. “Addressing climate change requires a unified effort,” Al-Jaber told Archyde.com.
Archyde.com described Al-Jaber as a climate diplomat, with a decade of experience in this field, and said: “Al-Jaber does not lack green credentials. His first CEO position was at Masdar, the Abu Dhabi renewable energy company that he founded in 2006 and is now among the world’s largest investors in clean energy.”
Al-Jaber told Archyde.com that it was this experience that prompted the UAE leadership to assign him to head the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC), with a mandate to “transform the energy company, remove carbon from it and develop it for the future.”
