King Abdulaziz University, represented by the College of Dentistry and the Health Promotion Center, launched today, Thursday 7/8/1443 AH, the activities of the “International Oral Health Day”.
A series of awareness and educational activities were launched over a period of several weeks, in order to increase community awareness of issues related to oral health.
Through these events, the university aims to promote the concept of dental health among the community groups and enhance the importance of the dentist’s role in raising awareness of oral and dental health care and creating a generation capable of taking care and preserving their teeth.
The event included a number of educational and awareness corners, where specialized consultations were provided to reduce the incidence of oral and dental diseases, and to identify gum diseases and dental caries problems and how to prevent them. Oral and dental health receives great attention from the College of Dentistry and the Center for Health Promotion, emphasizing the importance of oral health and its great impact on public health.
