Kimmich received a red card, Bayern Munich still won strongly against Wolfsburg

Despite playing with only 10 people on the field at the beginning of the second half when defender Kimmich received a red card, Bayern Munich still defeated Wolfsburg with a score of 4-2 in the 19th round of the Bundesliga on the evening of February 5.

Bayern Munich opened the scoring in the 9th minute when Kingsley Coman hung the ball from the left wing. Striker Thomas Muller cut the shot and missed, causing goalkeeper Koen Casteels to suddenly send the ball straight into the net.

Just 5 minutes later, rookie Joao Cancelo crossed from the right to Coman volleyed a diagonal touch that Casteels goalkeeper might only stand and watch the ball fly into the net.

This is the second time in a row that Cancelo has created a goal following just two games for Bayern. Previously, the Man City player assisted Choupo-Moting in his debut on loan to beat Mainz 4-0 in the round of 16 of the German Cup on February 1.

In the 19th minute, Kimmich took a free kick to let Muller jump and head diagonally to raise the score to 3-0. The German striker made his 427th game for the “Gray Lobster” in the Bundesliga, equaling the record of the legendary Gerd Muller as the Bayern Munich player with the most Bundesliga appearances in history, excluding the goalkeeper.

Thomas Muller has 140 goals, 161 assists, 307 wins, only behind Oliver Kahn (310 wins) and teammate Manuel Neuer (322). In the 44th minute, striker Jakub Kaminski shortened the score to 1-3 following a dribbling and dangerous finish on the left wing.

However, “Gray Lobster” still scored a fourth goal in the 73rd minute. Receiving the ball from the right wing, midfielder Jammal Musiala went into the middle and broke into the penalty area before finishing in the corner near the bottom of Casteels.
