At the extraordinary general meeting, it was also agreed to elect a new president at the regular general meeting in May. Many of the delegates who attended the general meeting raised the theory of responsibility for the current executive branch in relation to the resignation of former Chairman Kim, through their speeches. Former Chairman Kim completely denied the allegations, but announced his intention to resign voluntarily on the 16th as members demanded the convening of an extraordinary general meeting to vote on the president’s no-confidence and raised the level of pressure, such as announcing a sit-down at the Liberation Hall.

The Liberation Society voted on the resignation of former Chairman Kim at the board meeting the day before, but some members are complaining, saying, “It helped me avoid the disgrace of impeachment.” At the general meeting on the same day, one delegate protested, “Ex-Chairman Kim should also be punished by law,” saying, “It should be removed through a vote of no confidence in the president, but it is very different from voluntary resignation.”
