The national team’s central defender Kim Min-jae (26) played full-time, but Fenerbahçe, the Turkish professional soccer super league, missed the victory.
Fenerbahce drew 1-1 in the away match against Sivasspor in Sivas, Turkey on the night of the 22nd (Korean time). Kim Min-jae started as a central defender and played full-time in four consecutive games. Fenerbahce moved down from 3rd to 4th with 10 wins, 7 draws and 6 losses (37 points).
Fenerbahce has recently resigned as manager Vitor Pereira due to poor performance and is replaced by Ismail Kartal. Kim Min-jae’s position is still solid. Kim Min-jae was responsible for full-time for three consecutive games despite the new managerial system. Kim Min-jae will join the Korean national football team to play the 7th and 8th Asian finals of the 2022 World Cup against Lebanon on the 27th and Syria on the 1st of next month.
Fenerbahce took the lead with Miha Zeitz’s goal in the 18th minute of the first half. Ener Balenciaga crossed low from the left side of the box, and Zeitz rushed into the door and pushed it in with his left foot. Fenerbahce, however, conceded an equalizer in the 29th minute of the second half. Sivasspor’s Pedro Henrique Konzen scores the goal from a free kick.
