Kim Jong-un said he is ready to use nuclear weapons

North Korean leader Kim Jong-un assured that Pyongyang “will not hesitate” to use all types of offensive weapons if South Korea and the United States try to use armed forces to violate the North’s sovereignty, the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) reports.

“If the enemies… ignore our repeated warnings and, with overconfidence in the South Korea-US alliance, take another step forward to try to use military force to violate the DPRK’s sovereignty, then we will not hesitate to use all offensive forces… including nuclear weapons,” Kim Jong Un declared.

The North Korean leader reportedly visited a Korean People’s Army special forces training base on Wednesday to observe a training exercise.

In his speech, the head of state recalled that the DPRK is a nuclear state and in the event of a “military clash,” the existence of “Seoul and the Republic of Korea (South Korea) will be impossible.” He stressed that this is “not some kind of rhetorical threat.”

In addition, Kim Jong-un called the recent speech of the President of South Korea “ridiculous.” Yoon Seok Elyawho “mentioned an overwhelming military response” from the Seoul-Washington alliance.

According to the North Korean leader, “the forces that violate security and peace in the region” are South Korea and the United States.
