(CNN) North Korean leader Kim Jong-un has sent a letter to Russian President Vladimir Putin to congratulate him on Russia’s Victory Day once morest Germany.
According to the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA), Kim said in the letter that Putin, the Russian army and the Russian people should “implement international justice and protect world peace” once morest the “imperialists”. “Victory is a unique Russian tradition. The glory of victory will go down in history and will live with Russia forever, generation following generation,” he said.
Kim also said Putin’s Russia would succeed in defeating all “challenges and threats from hostile forces” and ensuring national sovereignty and dignity and regional stability.
North Korea is one of the few countries that fully supports Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. It has argued that the United States and Europe are responsible for the war.
There is no mention of Ukraine in the KCNA article.
