[의학신문·일간보사=안치영 기자] Deputy Director Kim Jin-seok of the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (Director Kang-lip Kim) visited the Geoyoung Cheonan Logistics Center (located in Seobuk-gu, Cheonan-si, Chungcheongnam-do), which is supplying COVID-19 self-test kits to over 18,000 pharmacies nationwide to check the distribution status of the self-test kits. I heard the concerns of the field.
This site visit was conducted in the 4th week of February (February 20-2. 26.), as self-inspection kits for regarding 21 million people were produced and distributed to distributors nationwide. It is designed to seek support.
On the same day, Deputy Director Kim Jin-seok said, “I am grateful for the hard work of the employees of the Geo-Young Cheonan Logistics Center, who are working hard to distribute self-test kits consistently and evenly every day to self-test kit vendors across the country.” We ask that you do your best to fulfill the important role of distributing self-test kits.”
Deputy Director Kim also emphasized, “The current situation is not in the situation of an absolute shortage of self-inspection kits, but rather a situation that requires stabilization of distribution.
The Ministry of Food and Drug Safety said, “We will continue to monitor the distribution status of self-test kits and actively collect difficulties in the field, such as logistics centers, so that people in need of self-test kits can purchase them smoothly,” said the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety.
