Regarding the allegations that Democratic Party presidential candidate Lee Jae-myung used the house next door as a ‘non-sun camp’ during his time as governor of Gyeonggi, Rep. Looking at it, there was a pattern that was unique to the evening of Tuesday and Friday.”

On the 20th, Rep. Kim posted on his Facebook, “Why is it always a Tuesday and Friday dinner? The reasons are presumed to be various, and we are collecting related information.”

Rep. Kim released photos of sushi and salads carried by a former 7th-grade civil servant in the Gyeonggi secretariat who reported suspicions of Kim Hye-kyung’s excessive ceremonies and private use of corporate cards. He continued, “According to the informant, it seems that the guideline was to get out of the place immediately following delivering food. (Lee’s house) No. 2401 and (next door to Lee’s house) No. 2402 were not allowed to even come close.”

Rep. Kim asserted, “(At the time when this instruction was given), Ms. Bae, a grade 5 civil servant, seemed to have always watched and monitored the closed circuit (CC) TV illuminating the hallway from the front door of Room 2401.” The CCTV has recently disappeared from the spot. Rep. Kim said, “(Mr. Bae) scolded the informant who mightn’t get out of the seat promptly for the purpose of ‘I’m watching everything’. Should public officials have to leave the food delivered as if they were being chased?” he criticized.

He continued, “The couple next door, who had lived in a house owned by their parents for decades, suddenly moved ahead of Lee’s presidential election. He pointed out, “I haven’t heard from GH yet, as to when the current 4 employees started living in Room 2402.”

Earlier on the 17th, according to the power of the people and the registered copy, GH signed a contract to set up a lease for two years at 950 million won in room 2402, which is right next to candidate Lee’s apartment, in August 2020. At the time, GH president was Lee Heon-wook, chairman of the Promise and Implementation Committee of the Democratic Party’s Election Countermeasures Committee, considered one of Lee’s close aides. In response, Kim Ki-hyeon, floor leader of the People’s Power, raised suspicions, saying, “Isn’t it illegal to prepare for Lee’s promises and presidential elections here?” Won Hee-ryong, head of the policy department at the Election Countermeasures Headquarters, also said, “We need to reveal in detail who came into the house, why, what did they do, and whether Mrs. Kim ate all the sushi delivered to Lee’s house by herself.”

Then, the Democratic Party protested, saying, “If you continue to be negative, you will be held strictly legally responsible.” The Democratic Party’s election committee public affairs team issued a statement and explained, “GH explained that the accommodation was being used by two deputies and two ordinary employees who were in charge of the Pangyo Project Group’s development project, and this was confirmed through media coverage.”
