Gerindra Party Daily Chair Sufmi Dasco Ahmad confirmed that a number of political parties (parpol) in the Advanced Indonesia Coalition (KIM) stated that they had no objections to a number of other new political parties joining the coalition.
He said that all political parties that visited Gerindra Party General Chairman Prabowo Subianto at his residence on Jalan Kertanegara, Jakarta, on Thursday (15/8) evening, had stated their support for the government of President-elect Prabowo Subianto and Vice President-elect Gibran Rakabuming Raka.
“We have communicated with existing parties, such as PAN, Golkar, Demokrat, there are no problems and God willing it will run smoothly,” said Dasco after attending the MPR Annual Session at the Parliament Complex, Jakarta, Friday (16/8).
Several political parties visited Prabowo’s residence, namely the Nasdem Party, the United Development Party (PPP), and the Perindo Party. They visited separately on Thursday (15/8) night.
With a number of political parties joining KIM, according to him, the new Prabowo-Gibran government will be carried out together, both by old parties and new parties.
On Thursday (15/8) night, Nasdem Party General Chairman Surya Paloh was the first person to visit Prabowo Subianto’s residence. At that time, Surya stated that he would cooperate with Prabowo.
Furthermore, Acting General Chairman of PPP Muhammad Mardiono also visited Prabowo and conveyed his party’s decision to join the Advanced Indonesia Coalition and support the future government.
And finally, Prabowo also received a visit from the General Chairperson of the Perindo Party Angela Tanoesoedibjo. The new general chairperson of the party then expressed her support for the next government to be able to contribute more to the country. (Ant/P-5)
