POLICE arrested a man with the initials H, 43, for killing his wife with the initials J, 35, then piled up the victim’s body in the house in Makassar City, South Sulawesi (Sulsel) for 6 years ago. The perpetrator admitted that he was determined to end his wife’s life because he was jealous.
The victim’s body, which was left with only bones, was found on Jalan Kandea 2, Lorong 116 Number 6B, Bontoala District, Makassar, South Sulawesi, Sunday (14/4). Meanwhile, the victim was detained following his son’s report to the police, Saturday (13/4).
The victim’s family asked that the perpetrator be given severe punishment. The victim’s family’s attorney, Ahmad Zulfikar, said that the victim’s family has completely handed over to law enforcement officials to process the perpetrator.
However, he emphasized that the family hopes that the perpetrator will receive adequate punishment for his actions. “And we hope that the perpetrator can be punished as severely as possible to be held accountable for his actions,” said Zulfikar in his statement, Tuesday (16/4).
He also said that the victim’s family appreciated and was grateful for the quick action of the Makassar Police and South Sulawesi Police in arresting the perpetrator.
The victim, whose bones remained, was buried by his family in the public cemetery on Jalan Rqappocini Lorong 2, Rappocini District, Monday (15/4) at around 09.30 WITA. He said the victim’s body had been handed over by the Bhayangkara Hospital.

In front of the police, H admitted to beating his wife in the chest and stomach. He did not expect that the abuse would cause his wife to die instantly.
After that, the perpetrator then buried the victim’s body in the backyard of the house with sand. This was done with the intention of eliminating traces of his heinous actions once morest the victim. “I covered it with sand, I put cement on top but I didn’t cast it,” admitted H.
The head of the local RW, Tenri, explained that residents never knew what actually happened, and never felt that there was something wrong. Including residents who never heard any noise or smelled the smell of carcasses.
“We also don’t know the condition of the child, because it hasn’t been lived in for a long time. The house was left by the perpetrator’s parents. There was even someone who rented the house.
