The day before yesterday it became known that Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League, the next project of the Rocksteady studio, known for Batman: Arkham Asylum, Arkham City and Arkham Knight, is greatly delayed. Recent reports suggest that this delay may be due to major changes that will be made to the gameplay.

According to new rumors, the developers intend to remove the requirement of a permanent connection to the Internet from the game. The game will offer a single player mode, but so far the developers have reported that an Internet connection will be required even during single player. The source of this new information is the usually very knowledgeable journalist Jez Corden of Windows Central.

So far, these reports have not been officially confirmed, but they seem likely. The February gameplay demo was met with mixed reception, and the online nature of the project was one of the things that upset gamers the most.
