The Municipal Administration of Kilamba Kiaxi, led by Naulila André, will hold an eleven-a-side football match today to honor the former National Team player, Zé Kalanga, at Campo da 14, at 2:00 pm.
According to this newspaper, the game will pit the friends of Zé Kalanga and Job “Puto Maravilha”, who played for Atlético Sport Aviação (ASA) and Petro de Luanda.
Both grew up in the aforementioned municipality. Zé Kalanga is considered by many to be one of the most important players in the history of the National Team, because he provided the assists that Angolans will never forget.
Zé Kalanga, former player of Petro de Luanda, Benfica de Luanda and Bravos of Mquis do Mxico, made the cross that ended with Akwá’s goal, a goal that took Angola to the World Cup for the first time in 2006.
The other historic assist was at the World Cup when he made the cross that scored Angola’s only goal at the World Cup in Germany scored by Flávio Amado.
